As we come to the end of our second month as a radio station, it seems a good time to reflect on where we're at and where we're going. For it is indeed now a "we" and very much no longer an "I" at work here.
It's been very heartwarming to welcome so many great new presenters to E.A.R this month and to see them embrace to station's ethos with such enthusiasm. We've added some great musicians from the East Anglian scene such as Jason Mills (Trench Art Noise), Dan Willingham and Paul Rhodes (The Domestics) and Matthew Read (Fantastic Rectangles/East Anglian Noise Alliance), as well as bringing The Top Turnbuckle pro-wrestling talk show to the weekend line up to join the great shows we had running throughout August. There's yet more shows coming before the end of 2024 so watch this space for those.
We'd like to extend a massive thank you to all the bands who have sent in their music to earpodcast@gmail.com - especially those who have promoted the station! We are always happy to receive music and can guarantee airplay for 99.9% of the music we receive (no nazis). We'd also like to thank everyone who has liked, followed and shared posts on social media. That really is a massive help to us, spreading the word is crucial at this early stage. Check out Ethereal, Obsesa, And I Meet You In Churches, Trench Art Noise, Fantastic Rectangles and The Domestics!
Going forward, our main priorities are to continue adding great content to the schedule and the development of our own radio app, which we aim to release for both Apple and Android devices and possibly smart TVs etc as well. We will also be looking to revamp our website over the coming months leading into 2025.
Listening figures in our first two months have risen steadily over time and are currently exceeding expectations for this stage in our development. Music is our passion hear at E.A.R and it's fantastic to be able to connect with so many music lovers just like you.
Onwards and upwards, folks. Onwards and upwards.
